Since we believe that sea fishing should be accessible to all, we are going to develop several resources under the banner of Access 2 Angling. This will feature information which may be of particular interest to wheelchair users and other disabled anglers.

A section in memory of Charles Armstrong and dedicated to wheelchair users with tips, advice and techniques that may prove useful. We are keen to expand this section and always welcome such members into the club.

Issue 3 - Flounders
A flatfish that can provide both good sport and a few surprises, especially on light tackle. Many newcomers to sea fishing enjoy good sport with this particular species, especially Southern anglers in January and February, when sport is otherwise a little slow!
An exciting fish to catch from either boat or shore, especially over wrecks in the depths of the winter.

One of the tastiest British sea fish. There are few anglers that don’t smile over the capture of a good one!
Issue 6 - Mackerel
A hard fighting fish that struggles gamely on appropriate tackle. (Club members, please note that weighing in mackerel caught on feathers is not allowed.)
but please use them as sparingly as possible, e.g. to catch the bait to get you started.

The acrobat of British sea fishing species. They are tremendous fun to catch on light tackle.
Issue 8 - Light Tackle Techniques
This issue is going to be one to watch since we are going to use it to build up a smorgasbord of articles on light tackle, especially fly fishing in the sea, which is something that we are starting to get really quite passionate about. It is excellent fun!

Okay, so trout fishing is a world apart from sea fishing, or is it? In March, when the sea fishing was lean, I fancied trying something completely different, so I did! I learnt quite a lot from it too.
